2016 Poker Runs!

How about a little extra fun for the ride down to Rocky Point? As has become tradition, the 16^th Annual Rocky Point Rally™ will once again include a Mystery Poker Run for the ride down, plus for 3^rd year in row we’ll have a Condo Poker Run in town on Friday.

If you haven’t done a Poker Run before, here’s the basic gist: you pick a playing card at each of the five stops, stamp your card (that you pick up at the first stop) and then ride on to the next stop. As it is a MYSTERY Poker Run, we don’t actually go by the best poker hand – so don’t worry about that Jack 2 – instead, on the evening of Friday, Nov. 11^th when you turn in your card to get your pin each of the playing card stops you got will be worth points and it’ll be tallied up then. So, that means yes the worst poker hand could actually win! Winners for both the Sanborns Mystery Over the Border Poker Run, as well as the in town Condo Poker Run will be announced on Friday, Nov. 11^th @ the Playa Bonita beach party. $10 US when you hand in your card, and get your poker run pin 2016!

 

Sanborns Over the Border Mystery Poker Run (Thursday, Nov. 10^th & Friday, Nov. 11^th)

1^st prize – 3000 pesos (approx $150 US) 2^nd prize – 1500 pesos (approx. $80 US)

 

1^st stop – Sanborns insurance office @ Chevron station in Ajo, AZ (Highway 85) Get your playing card here!

2^nd stop – UETA Duty Free shop in Lukeville, AZ (Highway 85 before going across border) In the corner near the post office

3^rd stop – Licores Vazquez in Sonoyta, Sonora

4^th stop – Registration spot on the north side of Rocky Point when coming into town

5^th stop – Puesta del Sol cantina at the Playa Bonita Hotel (restaurant side)

 

Hand in cards: Friday, Nov. 11^th 5-6 pm @ Puesta del Sol Cantina at the Playa Bonita Hotel. Winners announced around 7 p.m

 

Rocky Point Condo Poker Run (Friday, Nov. 11^th) *Start anytime between 2-4 pm*

1^st prize – 2000 pesos (approx. $100 US)   2^nd prize – 1000 pesos (approx. $65 US)

1^st stop – Duke’s Restaurant (Just off Calle 13 across from SeaSide Reservations main office)

2^nd stop – Sonoran Sun (road along Sandy Beach)

3^rd stop – Sonoran Sea (in the lobby)

4^th stop – Colin’s Cantina @ Princesa de Peñasco

5th stop – La Cantina @ Sonoran Sky Resort – next to the Tiki Bar
