    $ 15.00 for registration ????
    I am coming from Hong Kong for this rally, it would be nice to have a little more direct communication link than what is available on the web site. As well, I’ll drop an easy $100 for the charities, you should make it known that you can “donate” whatever you feel like and make it known how to accomplish this….
    Where I live you can spend $15 on 1 beer !!!! no problem…

    Is there a helmet law in Mexico?

    everything I have read says that Sonora Mexico requires helmets. Whether the law will be enforced with thousands of gringo riders next weekend is the big question.

      Mark, I have asked this question about a helmet law many times this year. Apparently they must have one but never in my 10 years of attending without one have I ever been stopped for the violation. In fact this is the first year I have even seen the question or anything online about it existing. Think I will ride from the border to RP with one but not wear it in RP as safety in numbers. There are always cops who try to make some money from you. Be sure not to bring a weapon or knife of any kind. They are serious about that.

      Be sure to have a certified copy of your birth certificate and photo ID as a back-up plan for heading back North. Safe travels

    Hi does the rocky point rally have a list of preferred hotels where people can stay that are
    sanctioned or approved by the rally committee, I would think that as many people that
    come to this event every year that people who are registered should be able to get
    good deals on condos on the beach. please publish names of facilities and POC NUMBERS.

    Even though I have a TWTR account I can’t log in to your message board. Says “authentication failed.”
    Don’t use Facebook and have no idea what the “W” is. Tried it but see not way to set up an account t there either. Suspect many are running into this problem as replies are far and mostly dated.
    How can I log in or can you set something up using email and a password?

    My first time going to this rally. Is the registration mandatory or optional? Can you get in if i didn’t register and i’ll just give a donation once i get there?

    • rprally - October 11, 2017 6:03 pm

      Hi Glenn, The registration is a voluntary donation which is divided between 7 charitable organizations each year including the Fire Department, Red Cross, a cancer awareness program, school for children with special needs, a home for the elderly, and 2 Municipal Family Service Organizations. With registration you get official rally items including pin and patch, along with additional Rally items. It’s all for a great cause and we are grateful for your donation. New this year is the Early Bird Registration of $20 US / while once at the rally this will be $25 US You can register early here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/17th-annual-rocky-point-rallytm-tickets-36517423597?ref=ebtn
