Rocky Point Rally Charitable Efforts

Since it first began in 2001, the annual Rocky Point Rally has also been an important fundraiser for a number of local charity groups.  To date over $150,00 USD have been raised for organizations including a school for children with disabilities, a cancer awareness and prevention group, a home for the elderly, the local office for family & children services, plus the Red Cross and local Fire Department.  These funds are raised through Rally registration fees ($20) as well as from all those participating in the Poker Run activities ($10 per person).

Last year, we also started collecting toys at the November rally to help with our new January event – Kings Day Toy Run (held near Jan. 6th which is the traditional “Kings Day” event in Mexico).  In 2015 we will have Toy Collection spots set up at the Main Registration area on Thursday and Friday, plus in the Old Port on Saturday, along with other specific locations with area sponsors. We’ll keep you posted!  Plus, we are extending the collection this year to invite folks to donate children’s coats for area kids.
